"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in and [a]acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin [that is, who entices him or hinders him in right conduct or thought], it would be better ([b]more expedient and profitable or advantageous) for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be sunk in the depth of the sea. Very early in the scripture, the Lord asked Cain the whereabouts of Abel, his
brother. He indifferently retorted that it was not part of his briefs to keep track of his sibling. That was a sad introduction of apathy in the social landscape of our common world. As society grows the degeneration deepens in scope and intensity. The lack of spirit-filled life has created among men selfishness which has explicated a philosophy in some climes, encouraging people to "think self", act "selfish", in order to make it in life. This is a direct opposite of what the Bible teaches: for where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and not hypocritical and every righteous fruit is planted in peace among peaceful people (James 3:7-18). Can anything beat this? The functional words are: purity, peace, gentle, accommodating, mercy, good fruit, impartiality and not hypocritical.
When Job was painting the character of God, he states, God shows no partiality to princes and does not take note of the rich more than the poor, because all of them are the work of his hands (Job 34:19).
The extent the elects lash out on one another without regards to one another's feelings is regrettable. Painfully there is no longer line of demarcation between the Christian attitude and the uncut politicians. The saints are encouraged to value one another because however we treat others, in the same way we would be treated. Respect the feelings of others. Whatever advantage one man has is not because of personal strength because by strength shall no man succeed. We are first and foremost, creations of God some died early, others in course of their journey. Please, give to people in need no matter how small. Do not be the cause of a brother's fall. We are all God's treasure and treasurers
Never inflict pains on your co-travellers every action attracts a rebound.
