Whitepaper released: Cambodia's Central Bank Digital Currency

The National Bank of Cambodia has recently published the whitepaper for their Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), called Bakong.

The goal is to make digital payments more efficient (cheaper, faster, more secure), to move away from the dollarized economy by stimulating the local currency (Riel), and most importantly to expand basic financial services to the people in Cambodia.
