Currently the UK order is the first country in the world to approve the use of the vaccine. They were also the first to approve a vaccine made by Pfizer-BioNTech.

 

After that AstraZeneca will join forces with Pfizer / BioNTech which are already being used in emergency vaccinations in the UK. The mass vaccination in the UK started on (8/12).

 

According to information circulating, AstraZeneca has reported the results of phase three clinical trials conducted in Brazil and England some time ago. Although there was an error in the dosage given in the clinical trial process, the claim for the efficacy of the vaccine is considered reliable. The AstraZeneca vaccine is said to be 70 percent effective against Covid-19.

 

The efficacy figure is obtained from combining the data of the group of people who were vaccinated with the right dose and the wrong dose. Using only the correct dose group data, an efficacy of 64 percent was found. Although lower, the AstraZeneca vaccine has reached the minimum efficacy standard for the Covid-19 vaccine, namely 50 percent. The AstraZeneca vaccine also does not need to be stored at -80 degrees like the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine.
