One of the famous Nigerian citizenry known as Bobrisky has just been trending on media outlets on the ground of accusations of abusing the Nigerian currency known as Naira and as such he has been reprimanded by the law enforcement agencies.

The female appearance of Bobrisky wasn't seems to get him some sort of leniency as it was reported that there was no option of fine was given to him.

Therefore, it was very necessary for everyone out there to know the rules and regulations guiding any sort of interaction with the so called Naira notes so as to avoid any unnecessary prosecution or intimidation from anyone.
So let's go ahead for those awkward activities that could be lead to possible prosecutions.

Below are the ways that could be perceived as "Naira Abuse" by the appropriate financial institutions in Nigeria;

1- Spraying:
It is illegal to spray banknotes at any event whatsoever to avoid disgrace at such events and unwarranted prosecution.

2- Writing:
Writing on banknotes is prohibited by law.

3- Stapling or Perforated Attachment:
Stapling banknotes is frowned at by appropriate government parastatals and applicable law due to the potential for corrosion caused by the metallic pins.

4- Tearing:
Tearing banknotes is also illegal.

5- Dancing, stepping or stamping on naira:
Dancing, stepping or stamping on Naira currency is frowned at by law as it seems as a kind of disregard for the nation's legal tender. Getting oil or ink on the banknotes can be considered a form of defacing and manipulation.

6- Black Market Selling:
Selling currency banknotes is illegal in black market could be disastrous when caught up with it.

7- Mutilation:
Anyone caught tampering with the naira note will face legal consequences, as stated in the CBN Act Section 21 of the federal republic constitution.

8- Rejecting the naira: Rejecting the naira is strictly prohibited by law especially in Nigerian vicinity.

9- Money bouquets:
All lover boys and husband's should note that from February 2023, the CBN has perceived money bouquets and gift presentation as a form of naira abuse as it is.
