Farmers are busy collecting the golden Aush paddy swaying in the wind of Bhadra month. Every farmer family is happy as the yield is better and the price is higher in the current Aush season than last year. The farmer's mind is filled with joy after getting success in Aush farming.
It can be seen that the farmer has started harvesting paddy. The grains are bent under the weight of rice. Aush rice looks like gold. In the light of which the face of the farmer has become clear. Every farmer is busy bringing home the sweaty dream crop. The mahadhum of their paddy harvesting is going on with sun and rain on their heads. Golden color appeared in every field. Field after field has been painted in golden color.
According to the sources of Nandail Upazila Agriculture Office, this year the planting target of Aush has been set at 2360 hectares of land. The target achieved is 1550 hectares. Upazila Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officer Aminul Haque said that this year Bri Dhan-48 (1500 hectares) and Bri Dhan-85, (50 hectares) varieties of rice have been planted. 845 people have been given incentives. 30 demonstration plots have been set up.
Nandail Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Mohammad Anisuzzaman said that the present agriculture-friendly government has given subsidies, free seeds, fertilizers and incentives to farmers. Irrigation, fertilizer and labor costs are less in Aushe. If the price of rice is like this, the farmers of Nandale will benefit a lot.
