Hon. Bode Ogunmola, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been named the victor in the Kogi State Ogori Magongo State Constituency election.

Hon. Bode Ogunmola defeated Major Akerejola of the All Progressives Congress, APC, according to Mr. Ekundayo Mejebi, the returning officer, who announced the results of the election.

Major Akerejola, a close rival of the Hon. Ogunmola, received 2,163 votes, while the latter received 2,910 votes.

Ogunmola served as the PDP's Kogi State publicity secretary most recently.
