Africa, is a continent richly blessed but wrongly led! We are people with rich culture and resources but these awesome gift are mismanaged.

It's a known fact that our major problem is bad leader. This can further be linked to the fact that we elect or choose aged men as leaders.

Each time i try to unravel the mystery behind elders or old people as our leaders i tend to always hit the rock. The only people reason i could think of us many proverbs and adages that tend to suggest that the elders know more!

In fact, some people even attributed wisdom to age. Thinking only the elders can he wised! 

While this is erroneous,  well the result is clear and glaring for us to see that we we are getting from such archaic reality is indeed folly.

How do i know that? Nothing can clearly be shown forth as a tangible breakthrough in Africa among the leaders we've had in the past.

This majorly is responsible for the sufferings we see down here and read among many African countries.

The hardship is much, unbearable that had to abandon their families and loved ones to look for greener pasture in a foreign country.

Amazingly, many of these advanced countries or what you call 'developed' countries refused to give many Africans visa.

Well we can't really blame them because if we had been was enough, we would have put our homes in shape and perhaps, the reverse would have been the case.

These days, people are ready to take any risk provided they are promised escape from the hardship in their country.

This made many try to take illegal routes or shortcut to reach Europe. 

By virtue of this, Mediterranean Sea has been the bus stop or canoe stop for many of these African migrate.

Their ordeal is not something they themselves are proud of. Those who are lucky to be rescued say they drink each their urine just to stay hydrated and survive

In such journey, it is each man for himself. 

They overcrowded the canoe that it has not choice than to sink along the way. Many are even with lifeguards and those with it can't stay longer the water.

We read about this every day but our government are not saying anything about this menace. It is a problem that  needs urgent solution.

People need to have faith in their country and should be ready to stay and enjoy the divide of democracy. 

To stay, we need new direction, new perspective and new orientation so as to change the narrative and make a government that truly cares for the people. 

The migrants menace has to stop and for that to happen, we need to get our leadership right!!!
