The spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has replied the spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo over a recent statement credited to him.

In a recent interview with Channels Television, the Nigerian minister of state for Labour and Employment, belittled the influence the Northern Elders Forum has on the outcome of votes in the northern part of the country. In his words, "they don't represent the North, they don't speak for the North"

However, while reacting to the statement made by Festus Keyamo towards the end of the same interview, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said if that's the attitude the All Progressives Congress has for the North, they are going nowhere.

Hear him, "if this is the kind of attitude the APC would have in relation to the North, I'm sorry for their campaign, they're going nowhere, this is the kind of attitude that would lose on that election, it's a very wrong approach to adopt"
