Uromi is a fast rising town in Edo state. The completion of a residential building in Uromi is a thing of joy that calls for celebration. House owners will go to their kinsmen to inform them of the new house and to invite them for blessing. House warming has moved from mere social gathering to a significant celebration. It is now fast becoming a tradition for the people of Uromi. Anyone who fails to do house warming after completing a personal residential building is said to attract some consequences which cannot be explained by mere reasoning. To prevent such consequences, residents of uromi are tasked with house warming celebration to open the  house. Two set of community are usually invited to bless the house. The first is the community of origin of the house owner and the second is the community where he or she builds the house
