Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has admitted that the upcoming World Cup could be his last.
De Bruyne, now 31, remains one of the world's best talents and is part of Belgium's much-touted future World Cup winners. He was part of a team that advanced to the quarter-finals in 2014 and finished third four years later.
As father time inevitably catches up with him, De Bruyne admitted he wants to take advantage of the upcoming tournament as he is unsure if he will get another chance to win the World Cup. "My family goes through the group phase," he said. "I'm 31 years old and I don't know what will happen in four years. It's the first time my kids are at the World Cup.
“So I'm coming. It will be special and I hope he doesn't miss it. 6, 4, 2. The two big ones imitate football a bit, but my daughter doesn't really like it, but she enjoys the sun and playing in the pool.
"I'm happy. This is the third and always special. This event is great because everyone can see it. It's big, but don't worry. This is my third time and I know what to expect and I can't say the same for anyone coming here for the first time. “[When] is unknown. You don't have to worry or think. So you accept it and try to play as well as you can. We don't talk about it with our team members. My schedule is too busy. We played two games in a row at home."
