Cotton is a very important fiber crop in the world. The demand for cotton to meet the needs of raw cotton in the country of 93 cotton yarn and cotton is unlimited. Currently, cotton is importing 4 million bales of cotton every year to meet cotton demand. Although there is considerable potential for cotton production in the country, cotton production in this country is not so much the same. Cotton Development Board's activities are increasingly increasing the amount of land for cotton production. At present, about 1 lakh bales of cotton cotton are being produced on an average of 38-40 thousand hectares of this country. The best soil for cotton cultivation is duos and sandy loamers. But cotton can be cultivated on any soil rich in organic matter. Very sandy or clay-rich soil is not suitable for cotton cultivation. The land which does not have rain water or the natural flooding water, the land should be selected for cotton cultivation. The land which is damp, shade, and where rain water does not fall within 2-6 hours should not be selected for cultivation of cotton. Soil quality is 6.0-7.5. If the soil is more acidic then apply lime on the soil. Cotton is now being cultivated in our country with the development method and this period is rainy season. Under the conditions of rainy season, 3-4 cultivars and ladder have to be made from zirzhura and platinum while the 'Joe' is on the ground. Cotton is cultivated during the monsoon season in the Chittagong Hill Tracts and Paharia regions. On the contrary, cotton is cultivated in other parts of the country. In the areas where the rainfall is less in the country, in the areas where sowing of seeds is sown by cultivating the land in the middle of Sravan between Bhadra. Seed was planted in the month of Sraban in Rangpur-Dinajpur area of this country and in other plains, Bhadra was made suitable for planting land by making land. In the early winter areas (especially in Rangpur Dinajpur area) from the beginning of the month of sravan month, the seeds of sowing must be completed in the first week of Bhadra. It is better to sow the seeds in the Paharia area 15-20 days before the start of the monsoon (while 'Joe' on the land). That is to say that in the dry season, seed will be sown in the month of Jan-Ashar for cotton cultivation. Between sowing between other areas except North Bengal and Paharia area, suitable time for sowing of seed till Bhadra. But seed sowing is better at mid-shedan. If it is late for sowing due to special reasons, it must be done in the third week of Bhadra. For the benefit of sowing, soak 3-4 hours of water in the water, it should be scratched with soil or dry dung or ash in such a way that the fibers (seeds) fall on the seeds and the seeds become separated from one to the other. Apart from sowing, sulfuric acid can also be sown without fiber-free seed. It damages the disease of seeds and insect eggs in the seeds.
The cultivation of cotton cultivation should be fertile. If fertility is less then 5-6 tonnes of dung fertilizer or compost fertilizer should be applied to the hectare. If organic manure is applied then relatively few chemical fertilizers have to be applied to the soil. Besides, the demand for secondary nutrient content in the soil is also met by organic fertilizers. If the soil PH value is less than 6.5, then apply 2 tones of lime to the hectare on the soil (it will be sown 1 month before sowing). Organic fertilizers should be mixed with soil by applying the soil at the beginning of the preparation. If the sprouting of the palm tree well is removed, then the seedling should be removed on a dry dry day. Generally, 3 times cotton is to be lifted. For the first time cotton should be lifted so that the total yield of 40% -50% cotton can be lifted. In the second installment and the third installment, 25% or 30% respectively and the remaining cotton should be lifted. Usually the first time cotton is good. So the first time cotton is to be kept separate. When taking cotton, keep in mind that the poor cotton cured of dirt, dead leaves and insects may not mix well with cotton. Separate the good cotton and dry it 3/4 days to dry well.
