পারিনি আজো লিখতে আমি সেই কবিতা খানি। 
যে কবিতার কথা সবার ভালো লাগবে জানি।।

যে কবিতার ছন্দ চরণে গাহি সাম্যের গান।
যে কবিতা পড়লে সবার খুশিতে নাচে প্রাণ।।

লিখব আমি প্রতিটি চরণ  অবারিত সবুজ নিয়ে। 
সোনালী ফসল নাচে দেখো বাতাসে তাল দিয়ে।।

রাখাল ছেলেরা গবাদি চড়ায়  বাজায় বাঁশের বাঁশি। 
পল্লী বালিকা গোবর কুড়ায় একবার দেখো আসি।।

কৃষক চলে লাঙল কাঁধে করতে মাঠের কাজ। 
সেই কথাটি কবিতায় আমি লিখতে চাই যে আজ।।

ধানের ক্ষেতে নিরানী হাতে কৃষাণেরা কাজ করে।
কন্ঠে তাদের গানের বীনা পাগল করা সুরে।।

ভাটিয়ালি সাথে পল্লীগীতি আরো যে ধুয়া গান।
শোনো যদি সুর আহা কি মধুর কেড়ে নেয় মন প্রাণ।।

কষ্ট করে ওরা বাড়ি ফেরে বিশ্রাম কভু নাই। 
ওদের কারণে মোদের প্রাণে সুখ যে খুঁজে পাই।।

মাঠে যদি কাজ না করতো আজ ফলতো না কভু ফসল।
সুখ হারিয়ে খাবার না পেয়ে দেখতে চেহারা আসল।।

কষ্ট করে হালটি ধরে ওরা গর্বিত চাষা। 
সোনার ফসল ফলায় ওরা মনেতে কত আশা।
